Raising Mother Nature
0 - Default Title
Description
To endure tragedies, a love of life and empathetic emotions are essential. 'Raising Mother Nature' is a nonfiction book about Calhoun's adventurous life. His teenage choices confuse him, but his humor and social mimicry guide him through unbelievable events. Satire intertwines with adult philosophical reflections on childhood abuse. My past contains stories with healing faith. I faced physical, sexual, and emotional abuse from monsters, but sharing my fears with God and forgiving others helped me heal from victimhood. Believing that leaving Ohio as a teen would change my life, I found life was the same. Reconnecting with inspiring people and family transformed me, rebuilding loving relationships. After my birth mother's deathbed confession about her abusive childhood, I learned why she abandoned me. With my foster mother, Marjorie Wise Sedlacek, studying spirituality helped us trust God, and He made our project a reality.
