0 - Default Title
Description
The book is dedicated to specialists in the field. The X-ray problems and the statistical methods may be of general interest. In Chapter 1, the difficult problem of the patient dose determination is presented. Chapter 2 is very important, as billions of people come in touch with the ionizing radiation. The three types of body protections against cancer are presented. Chapter 3 presents the advantage of 4¿ counters for absolute standardization. For large area radioactive sources, a special 2¿ counter is used. Chapter 4 presents the famous and efficient coincidence method. For complex emitters (95 % of all cases), an extrapolation variant of the method is used. Chapter 5 presents relative methods used in most applications. Two variants of low level gamma-ray spectrometry are described. Chapter 6 presents two original demonstrations for two famous statistical distributions: the Normal Distribution and the Weighted Mean. The discrepant results are analyzed.
