Description
The Altus Zvi Emanual Marial sings the winter journey. The first shot with a countertenor worldwide There are hundreds of recordings of the song cycle. The winter journey by Franz Schubert - but this one is unique. *! Schubert's songs are not singed by a baritone (as usual), nor by a tenor (as often), but by an altus (like never before). What is an altus? An Altus is a classic tuning compartment of male singers, whose tuning range is comparable to that of a female old voice. For a layman, this sometimes sounds like a woman is singing. Countertenor and Altus have their roots in history. Choirs have always been only men's choirs with the fairly limited range of bass to normal tenor since the late medieval ages. In the 16th century, the sound room of the male voices was expanded upwards. Choir compositions became more expressive, dramatic, passionate, dissolved from religious choir singing. And that's why the dominance of high men's voices began over 500 years until the 19th century. High voices before the 19th century almost always means male vocals in church, concert and opera. As these shots show, an altus can roll angry and flatter as well as sweet, sky-high jolly and clouded to death and win an erotic appeal to his game as a woman's voice can't. This is the case when we have to do with a well-trained, highly cultivated voice like here. The Israeli singer Zvi Emanuel-Marial is an exceptional talent. He has grown up with music, but first he was just like the Tenor Fritz Wunderlich Hornist in the orchestra. For a singer, it's always good to know how orchestral musicians think, and a singer who can play horn has a breathing control that allows him to play long cantiles and large bows. In the heart, the singer says, however, he was always a countertenor, but he really realized that only when he met singing educator Marianne Fischer-Kpfer who said to him: You're a countertenor, and I make you out
