Nano-zirconium vanadate has been prepared using three different techniques and proofed to has high affinity for heavy metal and radionuclides removal from contaminated waste water. these preparation techniques is so, easy to be handled and the most proper zirconium vanadate that has been produced using chemical modification sol-gel technique. this ion exchange material characterized by its nano-size that around 500nm and its high affinity for cobalt, nickel, and cesium removal from contaminated waste water. the ion exchanger removal efficiency of these harmful ions excced 90% for the prepared material. finally, it was proofed that the produced ion exchanger from each technique characterize by its thermal, radiation stablitiy and its high surface area. that enables these ion exchanger to be suitable for either heavy metals removal from industrial waste water or for radioactive waste waters that generated from nuclear power station.
