Description
The official computer game of the Olympic Summer Games 2000 in Sydney.
The player has the choice of three different game modes: Olympia, Arcade and training. In Olympic mode, he trains a team and must lead it through several comitions to the Olympic Games final. The player is for 12 athletes - for one athlete per discipline. These must qualify for the Olympics in several comitions before they are allowed to fight for moving into the finale in Sydney. In arcade mode, several players fight for points, medals and world records in the final of the chosen discipline.
The list of Sydney 2000 simulated disciplines so far is unique: 100 metre run, 110 metre hurdles, hammer and jaw throwing, three-jump, high jump, 100 metre free-style, track cycling (spring), clay pigeon shooting, weightlifting, tower jumping and kayak slalom.
Features comments from well-known sports jounalists such as Thomas Wark, Gerhard Delling and er Leissl.
The game also features high-resolution graphics and modern motion capturing technology (as models, actual Olympic participants were obliged) as well as detailed replicas of the Olympic comition sites.
