Description
The story centers around a Chinese defector named Kang, working for British Intelligence. After killing the mistress of his state security boss, he flees to the United Kingdom. It's revealed that Kang suffers from a personality disorder and harbors a deep hatred for women in uniform, stemming from his sister's death at the hands of the Chinese security service, during an interrogation led by a woman in uniform.
While working undercover in Hong Kong (then a British colony), Kang becomes a serial killer targeting women. However, political concerns surrounding the upcoming handover to China prevented Hong Kong police from apprehending him, prioritizing a smooth transition without diplomatic complications.
Following his defection, Kang finds himself pursued by both the retired British detective who initially recruited him and the Chinese authorities. As details of his past, uncovered by the Americans, come to light, Kang attempts to escape, fearing extradition to China. He's unaware that he's actually destined for a secure mental health facility. His escape triggers a frantic chase...
