This book is designed to assist with revision for the various aspects of the new IB French B course (first examination May 2013), at both Standard and Higher Levels. These aspects comprise the Oral, the Text Handling (Paper 1), the Written Assignment and the Written Production (Paper 2). Within the book, there are examples of types of texts as well as examples and / or practice exercises or questions for both question papers. There are guidelines and advice on how to approach the Oral examinations, for the Individual Oral and some techniques to help with the Interactive Oral. Wherever possible, texts and questions are intended to represent as closely as possible the style of material used by the International Baccalaureate Organisation. In addition, there are sections containing grammatical advice, intended to consolidate candidates' knowledge of French grammar. These are presented in clear, easy to read boxes, with checklists to assist in revision. This book won’t teach candidates how to do the exams, but what they will find are some tips and hints, as well as some techniques which will help to maximise their performance in the exam. There are also practice exercises. One of the aims of this book is also to help candidates find out what aspects of the course they need to devote more revision time to.
