Therefore, any operation has to be adequately justified, taking into account, not only anatomical and physiological parameters but also a moral criteria. Indeed, the decision to operate should be safeguarded from the lure of monetary reward, which unfortunately, too often nowadays, drives our modem world.
The modest work, which we are putting forward, will only reach its objective if an ethical dimension is integrated into the decision-making process leading to a surgical operation.
