Rob van de Wouw is known as a musical innovator and one of the leading artists on the Dutch electro jazz scene. His previous album was a collaboration with producer Mark de Clive-Lowe, which was very well received. For 'Neon' Rob decided to work with people in his immediate musical surrounding - so bandmates keyboardist Wiboud Burkens and drummer Ruben van Roon helped with production duties. Rob wrote all the compositions and the three of them handled the programming. Together with bassist Manuel Hugas, Burkens and Roon formed the foundation for Rob van de Wouw's improvisations.
