Description
Our study was motivated by a dual scientific interest. On the one hand, we wanted to deepen our understanding of transcendental metaphysics. On the other, we wanted to give AI a theoretical framework within which it could emerge. First, we showed how traditional metaphysics is confronted with contradictory discourses. And then we analyzed how Kant came to see the contradictions in metaphysical discourse that prevailed thanks to the influence of mathematics and physics. In so doing, Kant distinguished between different types of judgment. The analytical judgment, the synthetic apostériori judgment and the synthetic a priori judgment. Transcendental metaphysics is based on the latter. Next, we delved into the question of a priori synthetic judgements. Finally, we looked at the application of transcendental metaphysics to AI. We noted that machines cannot have consciousness. For they cannot produce synthetic apriori judgements in the strict sense.
