Mid-Anthropocene, Rust Belt, Ohio, and the relationship of satirist, Guy Narcissus, and eco-warrior, Gaia Paine, is rapidly becoming extinct. Guy's mom has just died of cancer. He is burying his Transgender in deep-Cis, toxic masculinity. The one good thing is-he's been hired by Midland City University to teach Creative Environmental Writing.
But on campus, Guy falls in love with colleague, Niki Kafiristan. She is so beautiful it hurts to learn she is already married, so Guy goes nutso, agreeing to a wedding date with Gaia. Will he really tie the knot?

SUPER-sexed-up, Guy feels free to pursue Niki, and maybe even explore his own gender fluidity, but Gaia informs him she has brain cancer, is dying faster than Planet Earth.
