I decided to join this 20 Day Poem Challenge on a whim. I have written poetry before, a long time ago and so this way a real stretch for me. I wasn't even sure I had this many poems in me. I wrote from the heart, from deep inside. I wrote about family and nature and the world around me. I was often inspired to write during my early morning walks. The natural world has a way of stirring up memories and ideas, images and descriptions. Emotions surfaced that I did not even know existed. Pain, love, wonder, silliness. I discovered a lot about myself and enjoyed each day of writing and each poem that drifted up and out of me. I hope you enjoy reading these poems as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
