Jon Hiseman said "Despite many requests from fans and promoters over the last 20 years, I never seriously considered reforming the original Colosseum. But the release of all the albums on CD in the early 90's was very successful and generated a lot of new interest in the band. When Dave, Dick, Clem and Chris ganged up on me in 1993 it became clear that there was no escape. But where to begin Whilst on tour in Germany, I visited Dr. Alexander Heisler in Freiburg for treatment of a sore throat. He had heard rumours and persuaded me, as only he can, that the ideal venue for our debut reunion concert was the Freiburg Zelt-Musik-Festival of which he is artistic director. We set the date on the spot, I found Mark in America and after a meeting to choose a program, sent everybody CD's of all the old songs. Having relearnt the show separately we met in my studio on June 17th 1994 and I gave the count in for 'Those About To Die ' We played as if the band had never been apart. When Chris followed with a fantastic performance of 'Skelington' I realised that this was for real! On June 24th 1994 we played our first concert together for 23 years. This is the DVD of our entire second concert, recorded four months later.
