Strata est une oeuvre collective qui repense la façon de raconter, de vivre et d'expérimenter l'expérience ethnographique. Réalisé par des anthropologues-artistes, le livre mêle images, textes et sons pour donner à voir et à ressentir six recherches menées en France, au Portugal, en Roumanie et au Congo. Il explore les relations entre humains et non-humains, la mémoire coloniale, le climat, le temps et le vécu sensible du monde. Sur papier et en ligne, Strata constitue une expérience de pensée, de regard et de sensibilité. La forme devient ainsi aussi épistémologie, et la relation forme-contenu une force intentionnelle.

Strata is a collective work that rethinks how we narrate, live, and experience ethnography. Created by anthropologistartists, the book combines images, texts, and sounds to allow one to see and feel six research projects conducted in France, Portugal, Romania, and Congo. It explores the relationships between humans and non-humans, colonial memory, climate, time, and the sensory experience of the world. In print and online, Strata is an experiment in thought, perception, and sensitivity. Form thus becomes also epistemology, and the relationship between form and content becomes an intentional force.
