Description
Contemporary country singer and songwriter Eric Church meteoric rise continues. Chief' is his third album for Capitol Nashville, (released on the Hump Head label in the UK and Europe). In 2010 he won Top New Solo Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards, and Homeboy', the opening single from Chief' gave some indication of how he had progressed commercially. Church co-wrote 10 of the 11 songs on Chief a album that is clearly part of the Nashville mainstream, but the bluesy hard country rock sound is right on the money in terms of its contemporary appeal to the US market. The album has taken the Billboard Hot 200 chart by storm - entering at Number one, replacing Adele in the top slot for at least one week.
