Mesolithic Exploitation Patterns in the Central Pennines

Mesolithic Exploitation Patterns in the Central Pennines

- Default Title
Description
Palynological investigations from the mire on Soyland Moor, on the central Pennine plateau, near Ripponden, were undertaken to study the economic strategies of Mesolithic peoples. A small mire began to form at Soyland in the early postglacial (e 7000 be), and the mire is situated at the northern edge of the most densely occupied area of Mesolithic Britain, thus optimising the possibilities· of producing the type of data required.
