Nobody ever checks the Bible. The seven days of creation are explained in Babylonian texts, but nobody bothers to look. We have the source material for the creation account, but scholars don't bother to check: they prefer to use imaginary source documents instead (the pretend "J" and "E" sources). There are historical dates in Genesis chapter 5, but nobody checks them against archaeology. We have the original story of Abraham, written in his homeland when he left, but Bible scholars don't bother to read it. The entire Bible is like that: nobody ever checks most of what it says. This will all sound crazy. But everything is backed up by footnotes. And almost every page has illustrations or maps, so it should be easy to follow. Test the claims for yourself.
