Ever since the great boom in Cuban son music, he has been one of the great names of the second generation who keep the Cuban musical heritage alive beyond the borders of Cuba. The current album by Luis Frank y su Orquesta de Charango is called Charanguando, and it presents the best-known songs of the Cuban Charanga genre. The all-time hit El Bodeguero by Richard Eges, or the two numbers Marilu and La Habana Joven by Juan Formell or Soy Cubano, soy de Oriente by Candido Fabr are given an impressive new interpretation. As always, Luis Frank has of course contributed his own, new compositions: Maestro de Verdad, Tanto que te Quiero or Si Tanto tu me Quisieras. With his orchestra he also presents the four talented singers: Amicar Perez Fernandez, Aliuska Perez Morgado, Ana Maria, and Mariana Sainz Moracen.
