Ett urval av dikter av den prisbelönta kanadensiska författaren och poeten Cathy McGough.Cathy började skriva poesi när hon gick i gymnasiet och hennes allra första dikt med titeln "The Beginning" ingår i denna samling som hon har tillägnat sina föräldrar och sin mormor som var "en poet i sin egen rätt".Cathy, som är född i Stratford, Ontario, Kanada, har influerats av Shakespeare och andra poeter som Shelley, Tennyson och Wordsworth, samt av kanadensiska poeter som James Reaney och Earl Birney, som hon träffade en gång vid en uppläsning på Stratford Public Library. Hon är en ivrig läsare av Mary Olivers poesi och hoppas att en dag växa upp och bli som henne.

Cathy began writing poetry when she was in High School and her very first poem entitled "The Beginning" is included in this collection which she has dedicated to her parents and her grandmother who was "a poet in her own right."
Cathy, who was born in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, was influenced by Shakespeare and other poets such as Shelley, Tennyson and Wordsworth in addtion to Canadian Poets including James Reaney and Earl Birney who she met once at a reading at The Stratford Public Library. She is an avid reader of the poetry of Mary Oliver and hopes to one day grow up and be her.
