The symphonies of Jan Engel and Father Amando Ivancic, recorded on this disk, must have been performed in the convents of the Pauline order. The monks at Jasna Gora have always cared about the high level of music performed in their monastery. Yet another record with nearly forgotten pieces, which centuries ago resounded at Jasna Gora and in other convents of the Pauline order, proves that they have always been and continue to this day their mission of the guardians and co-creators of both national and European musical culture.
