The west coast sounds of the seventies that snake like a vine from Gram Parsons through Evan Dando and Ryan Adams nestle up nicely to Lattanzi on such tunes as Let Me Down Easy and Between The Sounds while Here Or Gone finds the singer delivering a big roll down the car windows chorus that would make Tom Petty smile.Recorded in between tours with The Lemonheads, Ben Kweller, Tinted Windows (Hasnon, Iha, etc) and various studio gigs, Between the Sounds is a beautifully crafted album of melodic rock swinging with AAA and non-comm potential. Also featuring guest musician James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins) on the song Anywhere Tonight , Lattanzi s debut album as the Candles is an inspired and inspirational debut from this talented musician/singer-songwriter.
