Coming from a family of fado - the nephew of Maria Teresa de Noronha and cousin of Vincent Da Cãmara, João da Cãmara and Frei Hermano da Câmara - came to become a popular singer, having performed in public for the first time in 1977 at the Coliseum Playgrounds, for a variety show. Soon became a regular in the fado houses and typical restaurants of the portuguese capital of lisbon. His first album, Fado!, 1982, revealed new versions of classics, among them Acabou o Arraial and Cavalo Ruço. Sonho Menino, in 1983, earned him the Trophy Revelation of Fado, the magazine New People. In 1985 a SOLD OUT! performance at the Aula Magna, reached his peak and the most successful sales in 1986 with Portuguese Sea [Mar Português], which went double platinum. Altogether the author of fourteen albums, and Lusitania in 2009, his most recent work. This is a best of his carrer.
