Maternal Health, is a linkage project of the Medicine Career of the National University of Loja- Ecuador, which has been developing since 2018 in the University Health Center of Motupe (Type A), with the joint participation of students and teachers of the Human Medicine Career and Family Doctors assigned to the University Health Center of Motupe. The objective of this project is to strengthen the maternal health of pregnant women living in the neighborhoods where the Motupe University Health Center is located, specifically to increase the coverage of maternal care of patients, improve the geographical system of pregnant patients, carry out promotion and prevention actions in pregnant patients and apply protocols of the Ministry of Public Health in pregnant women. The beneficiaries are pregnant women directly, their families and the community indirectly. The methodological strategy is based on participatory research that articulates scientific-technical assistance for the improvement of maternal health, research and academic training of students.
