Not all eight members of the California Cajun Orchestra can trace their ancestry to Cajun roots. Their musical roots, however, are firmly planted in the Cajun genre, and they honed their music by playing hundreds of dances throughout California over an eight-year period. Their debut recording, Not Lonesome Anymore is a collection of 17 songs featuring the waltz and two-step rhythms of new and traditional Cajun music. The liner notes provide thumbnail biographies of each of the band members as well as background on their musical influences and the band s history.
