Franch: Plays Franck
Elisabet Franch makes her Sony Classical debut with FRANCH PLAYS FRANCK, a tribute that the acclaimed Catalan flute player dedicates to the composer César Franck on the 200th anniversary of the composer's birth.
In addition to presenting the legendary Sonata in A Major by César Franck in a version for flute and piano and the song by the same composer Aimer, FRANCH PLAYS FRANCK, features a world premiere recording, the Sonata for violin and piano No. 2 Op. 13 by Edvard Grieg, in an edition by Elisabet herself for flute and piano. The CD is completed by the famous work by Camille Saint-Saëns Introduction et Rondo Capriccioso op.28.
The composer and pianist Albert Guinovart joins Elisabet Franch on this recording with a brilliant interpretation that embraces the delicate flute arrangements for the pieces meticulously chosen by Elisabet Franch.
