Clinical pathology is a specialization in medicine, concerned with the laboratory analysis of bodily fluids such as urine and blood, as well as the examination of tissue samples using cultures and automated analyzers to make a diagnosis of diseases. The analysis of such samples is done at macroscopic and microscopic levels. Immunofluorescence, immunocytochemistry, FISH and cytochemistry are also used to aid in the diagnosis.
