Leggett was born in Co.Wicklow, Ireland. He studied law at London University and at the Inns of Court School of Law, Gray's Inn, London, which was followed by a Master's degree in Humanities (Classical Rhetoric). His PhD was in Corporate Communications. He is now a professor in the Department of Managing People in Organizations at IESE Business School of University of Navarra. For over twenty years he has taught courses on Communication mainly on the MBA program and also in Executive Education.
