The other books in the series consist of abstracts or transcriptions of the records of Isle of Wight County.This volume is a verbatim transcription of the first book of county records for Isle of Wight. It features some of the earliest extant records for colonial Virginia. In all, the wills and conveyances establish relationships among more than 1,000 of the earliest inhabitants of the colony.
