The Boy Who Trapped The Sun is in fact a 25 year-old called Colin MacLeod. Originally from the Isle of Lewis, a windswept outcrop of the Outer Hebrides, MacLeod was discovered swinging round the rafters of an Aberdeen bar, dishing out Deep Purple covers and moved to London, to become a solo artist--from where emerged debut album Fireplace. MacLeod plays all the instruments bar the strings himself on an album full of idiosyncratic alt-folk songs inspired variously by home, Hemingway, ghosts and vicious ex-girlfriends.
