Two insiders, born and studied in Bonn, wrote a guide about this loveable city at the Rhine. The well-known touristic highlights, however, are not in the focus of this presentation, but places, regular events and some gastronomic tip which they can recommend in all conscience, without mentioning well-known items for the umpteenth time (yes, Beethoven was born here and there is also a Beethoven's house!!!). Without any doubt, a sympathy for their home town spills over, but some critical note about history and policy of Bonn has been made. The authors do not want to romanticise local history. They rather like to present the reader a "noteworthy" city from their point of view.
