Description
Geometry has a reputation for intimidating students long before they ever pick up a compass. It doesn't need to be that way. In fact, geometry is one of the most elegant branches of mathematics-precise, visual, and deeply logical. When it's approached with a bit of curiosity, it stops feeling like a puzzle box and starts feeling like a language anyone can learn.
I wrote this book after watching countless students hesitate over ideas they were absolutely capable of understanding. The problem was never intelligence; it was confidence. A right angle shouldn't feel like a riddle. Parallel lines shouldn't feel like a trick question. These are ideas children can grasp-often faster than adults expect-when they're given room to explore and a clear path to follow. A little imagination doesn't hurt either.
You'll find explanations here, of course, but also diagrams, odd little observations, and the occasional aside that slipped in because I couldn't resist. Some pages move quickly. Others linger. That's intentional. Geometry doesn't unfold in perfect symmetry, and neither does learning.
My hope is that this book helps children meet the subject with less fear and more curiosity. If it gives them the confidence to solve problems on their own-or even to enjoy the quiet logic of a well¿drawn shape-then it's done what I meant it to do.
Geometry is far more approachable than it pretends to be, and I'm here to guide your child through it, one idea at a time, until the whole subject feels not mysterious, but familiar.Dr. Boo
