My Star

0 - Default Title
Description
Bonnie Tyler's hits are still among the most played oldies on the radio today. The British rock and pop singer had her breakthrough in the 1970s. Of all things, a vocal cord operation gave her an unmistakable, rough voice, which subsequently became her unmistakable trademark. After numerous hits in the 1970s and 1980s, she began working with producer Dieter Bohlen in the 1990s, and this MY STAR issue highlights their success story. As befits the pop titan, his first song written for Bonnie Tyler, BITTERBLUE, became an immediate hit in 1991. In the same year, Duisburg TV chief inspectors Horst Schimanski and Christian Thanner (Götz George and Eberhardt Feik) said goodbye to the ARD TATORT stage with the spectacular episode DER FALL SCHIMANSKI. Bonnie Tyler contributed the title song to this TV blockbuster with her song AGAINST THE WIND, which can be heard here in the long version. The 20 tracks also include three chart titles: FOOLS LULLABY, CALL ME and SALLY COMES AROUND, as well as other singles: WHERE WERE YOU, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY LONELY HEART, YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL, STAY, BACK HOME from 1994 and GOD GAVE LOVE TO YOU, the latter in an extended version. It also includes two tracks written by Harold Faltermeyer: BREAKOUT from 1990 and SAY GOODBYE (BREAKOUT together with Brian Reeves, the latter together with Andreas Slavik). MY STAR BONNIE TYLER is definitely the perfect mix of emotion and rock'n'roll. TOO HOT
