Duane ers has achieved a number of outstanding feats over the course of his 20 year-plus professional skateboard career including; being the first to person to perform the loop of death (complete 360 of a full-pipe ramp), receiving the "Skater of The Century Award" in 2004 by Transworld Skateboarding Magazine and fronting one of most respected underground punk bands, explosive specialists The U.S. Bombs. The U.S. Bombs originally formed in 1993 with a lineup of Duane ers, guitarists Chuck Briggs and Kerry Martinez, bassist Wade Walston, and drummer Chip Hanna. The group signed with Alive and debuted in 1996 with a self-titled EP and the album 'Garibaldi Guard' followed the next year by 'Never Mind The Opened Minds'. In 1997 the group signed with Epitaph subsidiary Hellcat and produced the albums 'War Birth' and 'Back At The Laundromat'. Yer Country , a track from the latter album, was used in the soundtrack for Actiion s Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4. The Bombs have regrouped for the new millennium showcasing a freshened line-up playing that uniquely explosive sound on their US tour as well as on their release of the band's 2006 album 'We Are The Problem'. The U.S. Bombs DVD/CD project is the band's first and includes 2 HD shows (2001 s Maritime Hall Show in San Francisco along the Holidays in the Sun Tour and the last stop on their 2006 tour at Annie s) The DVD features both shows shot in 5 camera HD video, 5.1 format combined with interws, music videos and outtakes. The bonus CD contains both shows sourced and mixed from 32 track, 24 bit digital audio recordings.
