Description
When Tex *(Woody Allen) discovers his wife Candy *(Sharon Stone) is having an affair with the local sheriff *(Kiefer Sutherland),* he murders her,* chops her body into small pieces,* and goes to dispose of them over the Mexican border. Trouble is,* he's lost one of her hands and that hand has turned up *- credited with the miraculous restoration of a blind woman's sight *- as an object of local religious veneration. The mayor *(Cheech Marin) sees an opportunity for profit and encourages the pilgrims and TV crews who are coming to witness the *'the hand of the Madonna'. Sensing that something is wrong,* the village priest *(David Schwimmer) and the local prostitute *(Maria Grazia Cucinotta) raise their objections and set out to discredit the hand. Meanwhile,* as the village descends into chaos,* Tex must try to reclaim the hand himself,* lest it be used as evidence against him.
