The aim of this work is both an answer and a response to the question of masculinity. It describes what the perfection of masculinity is. Before the discussion can delve into masculinity however, it is important and essential to understand what man is. Thus, chapter one briefly but adequately looks at the nature of man as a relational being. With this established, the author then looks to understand what masculinity is. This includes the notions of the common man to understanding masculinity through the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas. At this point, the perfection of masculinity as being fulfilled in fatherhood is unveiled. Finally, chapters four and five look at what fatherhood is, how we can know true fatherhood and what our response should be in a fatherless society.
