ACO Based Mobile Ad hoc Networks

ACO Based Mobile Ad hoc Networks

0 - Default Title
Description
Mobile Ad Hoc networks (MANETs) are the reconfigurable wireless networks having no predefined infrastructure and the topology may get changed rapidly. Because of this it is difficult to apply conventional routing algorithms. Therefore to solve this routing problem, Meta -heuristic technique which is inspired by behavior of real ants known as Ant colony optimization (ACO) is used. The book shows the feature of both Ad hoc on demand routing protocols and ant based routing strategy. The proposed protocol has been then implemented using NS2 and results have been compared with varying performance parameters. The proposed protocol has been named as Ant based Mesh Ad hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol (AM-AODV) in which ant-like mobile agents have been generated, and are implemented on Ad hoc on demand distance vector protocol (AODV).
