Das beweisen nicht nur das Leben und die Texte von Bohumil Hrabal und Jaroslav Hašek, sondern zahlreiche lebende Bewohner unseres nördlichen Nachbarlandes, ob sie nun pan Pospišil oder pan Havranek heißen. Der Autor orientierte sich geografisch hauptsächlich am cervisiologischen Dreieck Brünn – Budweis – Pilsen, unternahm aber auch Stichtouren nach Schlesien und an die Elbe. Zwischendurch las er aufmerksam die Texte von Hrabal und von Hašek, und wenn ihm nichts mehr dazwischenkam, trank er in Brünn das grüne Bier oder in Budweis das Indian Pale Ale.
