From Tangier to New York by way of Paris, Rio, Buenos Aires and Amsterdam, Carlos Benaim's olfactory alphabet was built through a series of fortuitous events, trips and encounters. All these moments, inscribed in his memory, would become an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Here, perfume is born. With insatiable curiosity, he retraces his years at IFF, the fragrance house where he has spent his entire career. In a career spanning 50 years and still going strong, Carlos Benaim has authored a number of enduring international successes : either solo, like Polo (Ralph Lauren), or in teams, like Libre (Yves Saint Laurent) and Flowerbomb (Viktor&Rolf), as well as numerous creations for exclusive brands, including Eau de magnolia and Music for a While (Éditions de parfums Frédéric Malle).
