Le statut juridique de l'enfant au regard du Droit Civil au Tchad
0 - Default Title
Description
Despite the myriad of texts protecting children's rights and the activist actions of Associations, Governmental Bodies and Non-Governmental Organizations in favor of children in Chad, the situation of children remains precarious and alarming. Indeed, the first victims of violence, very frequent in Chad, are children because of their vulnerability and their enormously violated rights. If in everyday life, legitimate and legitimized children generally benefit from preferential treatment, the status of the natural and adulterous child is unenviable. In the cultural and religious practices of the different Chadian communities, discrimination still exists against natural, adulterous and incestuous children during the opening of inheritance and through the mistreatment inflicted on them, even if modern evolving law no longer conditions the protection of children's rights by their status. The author presents the various statuses and legal protections of children, without losing sight of the discrimination some children face. This book is a major contribution to children's rights in Chad, a kind of advocacy for the child's cause.
