At the time this recording was made, Tom Principato Band was averaging 240 dates a year, and had been doing so for about 4 years. Our first release "Smokin'!" caught the attention of a couple of European promoters, and we were soon off the wilds of Scandanavia and Northern Europe.Surpisingly, we found enthusiastic fans of our brand of music in more distant places like Norway & Finland, and soon we were playing some of the bigger festivals in Germany, France, Belgium and Holland, including the Amsterdam Blues festival and the prestigious Peer Blues Festival in Belgium. The economic realities of touring required that we play the larger Festivals on the weekends and fill in the weeknights by playing smaller venues and clubs. It was at one such club that this performance took place. We were a couple of days into the tour and the Band was in full swing. With a spirited assembly of fans to egg us on, we had one of our better nights on the tour. Fortunately, the tape was running. For those of us who have devoted our lives to playing our intsruments in front of live audiences, we increasingly treasure the intimacy of a jam-packed nightclub where on those special nights, the musicians and audience bond in the creation of a unique moment in time. Through this recording we invite you to join us onstage to relive what was to us, one such night.
