The starting matter of the serie "Audition" is to collect pieces from different inspiration wich purpose is to link the pedagogical work of the teacher with young musician´s pleasure while performingin concert, with end of year´s test or more simply during the lessons completing the usual programm. This could almost be a first "concerto" for percussion and piano. Jeux d´écolier (Schoolboy Games)not only paves the way for the players to follow each other in succession but also encourages the player to listen to the piano very carefully and to play the percussion part with very precise dynamics. In addition the improvised part allows the performer to give free rein to the imagination - unfortunately an all too rare event in this type of work. (Jean Geoffroy)
