Lexical borrowing from Arabic to French

0 - Default Title
Description
One of the concerns of translation is to fill the gap in a given language by adding new concepts borrowed from another language, thus enriching it. Borrowing is the solution for designating realities that do not exist in the target language, and is the most appropriate procedure for translating terms expressing cultural realities that are present in the source language but totally absent in the target language. The corpus chosen for this article is essentially made up of the Algerian family code, due to its wealth of borrowings. We study this phenomenon in this legal text, as in other legal texts.
