Excerpt from Minutes of the Fifty-Third Annual Session of the Zion Missionary Baptist Association, 1925<br/><br/>Pursuant to adjournment of the previous session held with the St. Paul Baptist church, Charlotte, N. C the Zion missionary Baptist Association met in its 53rd ah nual session with the above named church of this place today Â Rev J E P Little, the moderator presiding. Promptly at am, the gavel was sounded and Rev J C Ellerbee was asked to conduct the praise service, which consists as follows: Hymn No. 492, Amazing grace how sweet it sounds, etc. Prayer by brother W A Kersey. What a friend we have in Jesus, etc, was sung. Revs] F Davis and BJ Ivey, entered the rostrum to preach the introductory sermon. Rev Ivey lined hymn No. 533. If human kindhess meets return, etc.
