When Carter's owners, Mr. and Mrs. Bloom, have to move into a care home, they can no longer look after Carter, and he is taken into Penton Kennels where he hopes to be rehomed.
Carter is shocked to find that the kennels are nothing like the Bloom's farmhouse where he had such a good home. Life is no fun in the kennels at all. Carter and his friends spend each day performing to the families and children that pass by until they are exhausted, all desperately trying to get a "Forever Home".
Unfortunately, this was not going to be that easy...
