Lies and truthfulness in ethics lessons

0 - Default Title
Description
Lying as an interpersonal construct is not only of great importance in everyday life. It has also been discussed in the history of philosophy since at least ancient times and has been morally evaluated in a variety of ways. The following question arises in ethical discourse: Can lying be justified in certain situations on the basis of its philosophical premises, or is it never permissible? Moral philosophical reflections on lying are applied to ethics lessons in schools in order to subsequently discuss whether teaching pupils to be strictly truthful should be an action-oriented educational goal of ethics lessons.
