Six years after Anoice s first release in 2006, they finally come outwith The Black Rain, which is their reaction to both the darkness andhope that engulfed Japan after the 2011 earthquake, tsunami, andnuclear meltdown. The Black Rain was written throughout 2011, andrecorded in Tokyo and London. It is both a reflection on disaster anda prayer for healing. The structure of this release flows as an albumfull of preludes working up to the gigantic full band composition,titled Finale. As this finale comes to a close, the attentive listeneris rewarded with a soft landing called Fall Asleep. Most of thearrangements for The Black Rain are comprised of strings, piano, andorgan. Pianos were recorded at various locations, including a hotelruined by the earthquake.
