A Radio Bremen live recording made in May 2003 at the venerable RB concert hall featuring a unique trio from Brooklyn, NY: Andy Statman (clarinet, mandolin), Jim Whitney (double-bass) and Larry Eagle (drums). The album features four extended compositions and improations that document many aspects of Statman’s musical CV - from newgrass to klezmer to jazz. A musical fusion that not only illustrates the personal journey that brought this artist to a deep spiritual grounding in Jewish/Chassidic faith, it also brings together two US folk traditionals and two klezmer standards. Music of impassioned intensity and of great improational brilliance, captured on a magic night in Bremen/Germany. The first release within T & M’s "On Air" series featuring historic and contemporary live recordings.
