Reflections of India
0 - Used - very good
Description
It is probably the marvellous colours that we admire first in Andr? Wagner's photos. Only subsequently do we realise that this is not the primary objective of the work. The artist doesn't want to make a simple travel documentary on colourful India, but rather to show the spirituality and complexity of the place. So we have to look behind the images, and start meditating on the energy manifested in these colourful scenes in order to arrive at that peaceful harmony, which is so characteristic of India, and so spectacularly captured in the images in this book. Andr? Wagner's pictures are philosophical reflections on the essence of life, space and time, man and nature, as well as on impermanence and eternity.Zolt?n Somhegyi, Art historian/Kunsthistoriker
Die Fotografien werden erg?nzt durch einen zweisprachigen Text (deutsch und englisch) von Shri Sarvabhavana, Gastdozent f?r Hinduismus an der Humboldt Universit?t Berlin.
