Realität im Spiegel der Zeit
0 - Default Title
Description
"Black Mirror" is a Netflix TV series dedicated to the social and personal upheavals of the digital future. This essay approaches the first six seasons from a philosophical perspective. The basic question raised is the status of reality in the age of digitality. Following the various themes of the series, it asks how this new conception of reality affects fundamental aspects of human existence - for example in relation to time, love and death. In doing so, it becomes clear that the series deals with some complex theories of philosophy from Kant to the present day. The interpretation presented here makes use of their illustrations in the medium of the TV series in order to present philosophy in a slightly different light by means of a non-philosophical subject.
