Obwohl die vorliegenden Gedichte nicht dem - nicht-poetischen - Genre des Science Slam zuzuordnen sind, hat ihre Entstehung mit der des Science Slam zu tun. Alex Dreppec, Erfinder dieser besonderen Spielart des Poetry Slam, war und ist stark in die Organisation und Moderation dieser Wettbewerbe eingebunden. Im Dezember 2016 wird die 7. Deutsche Science-Slam-Meisterschaft in Darmstadt ausgetragen. Im Laufe der zurückliegenden Jahre entstand die hier vorliegende Sammlung, die in großen Teilen vorher bereits abgedruckt wurde. Bei der Selbst-Übersetzung hat der Autor sich die Freiheit genommen, inhaltliche und/oder formale Änderungen vorzu-nehmen, wenn das dem Gesamtergebnis diente, bis hin zu der Entscheidung, einzelne Texte nicht zu übersetzen. Die vorliegende Zusammenstellung von Gedichten, die sich mit wesentlichen Gebieten wissenschaftlicher Disziplinen beschäftigen, um diese durchaus humorvoll zu durchleuchten und zu hinterfragen, ist absolut einzigartig.
Although the present poems are not part of the - non-poetic - genre of science slam, their origin has to do with the latter. Alex Dreppec invented this special field of poetry slam and has been involved for many years with its organisation and presentation. In December 2016, the 7th German science slam competition will take place in Darmstadt. Over the past years, the present collection developed, large parts of which have already been published. During the process of self-translation, the author felt free to make substantial and / or formal changes when this was useful to the overall result, up to the decision not to translate individual texts at all. The present compilation of poetry, which is about essential fields of academic and scientific disciplines in order to examine and question them in a humorous way, is absolutely unique.
